Priorities for Pennsylvania

Seven Values Guiding the Work

Representative Dave Zimmerman works from a clear set of priorities rooted in family, faith, local control, fiscal discipline, agriculture, small business, and the Constitution.

1. Family Values

Protect religious liberty from government interference, defend medical freedom for patients and doctors, uphold pro-life principles, reinforce the nuclear family, and preserve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

2. School Choice

Recognize that children belong to parents, not the government. Support all school options, a thriving public school system, fair funding that prioritizes students, age-appropriate curriculum, and child-friendly libraries.

3. Small Business and Nonprofits

Support the job creators and community organizations that power Pennsylvania by rolling back burdensome regulations and advancing business-friendly tax policy.

4. Agriculture

Protect Pennsylvania's largest industry, strengthen food safety and food security, shorten the permitting process, and recognize agriculture as a solution to many environmental concerns.

5. Financial Responsibility

Commit to balanced budgets, rein in state agency spending, stop agency fundraising through fines, avoid spending more than the state generates, and reject unfunded mandates.

6. Statewide Deregulation

Treat regulations as regulations, not law. Limit unnecessary paperwork and administrative burdens, remove two regulations for every new one, support REINS-style accountability, and create stronger tools to challenge red tape.

7. The Constitution

Honor the people's inalienable rights, respect the amendments, defend property rights, support first responders and public safety, and maintain the three branches of government.
